The purpose of this course is to familiarize the learner with the benefits of reminiscing and the use of nostalgia for residents living with dementia. Methodologies including the use of photos, music, clothing, and spiritual reminders are reviewed, as these may provide comfort to individuals living with varying degrees of dementia. The course engages learners in learning how to successfully interact and communicate with people living with dementia. This version of the course is designed to only award applicable California (CA) credit. Each course comes with the required Verification Form each CNA must fill out after successfully completing the course.

The purpose of this course is to introduce key behaviors, traits, and characteristics of an effective leader. The concept of discretionary effort and strategies for promoting the behavior is discussed. This course engages the learner in content related to tactics and key behaviors of an effective leader. Required components for organizational alignment are outlined, and important components of preventing turnover are discussed.
