Beginning with the biennium ending in 2015, each nursing licensee must complete a two (2) hour course on the laws and rules that govern the practice of nursing in the State of Florida before they are eligible to renew their license. HealthStream partner, echelon®, an approved CE provider by the Board of Nursing, has developed and will soon release an online course that meets all the requirements for nursing license renewal in conjunction with the laws and rules related to the practice of nursing.

This immersive training has been developed by experts to assist professionals successfully prepare and navigate their way through having a serious illness conversation with patients and family members. This course takes approximately 90 minutes to complete. It may be taken in multiple sessions and you may stop and return at any point. Many find it helpful stopping after Module 1 (approximately 35 minutes into the program) and again after Module 3 (after an additional 25 minutes). It is recommended that the assessment, Module 4, be completed in one session of approximately 30 minutes.
