Beginning with the biennium ending in 2015, each nursing licensee must complete a two (2) hour course on the laws and rules that govern the practice of nursing in the State of Florida before they are eligible to renew their license. HealthStream partner, echelon®, an approved CE provider by the Board of Nursing, has developed and will soon release an online course that meets all the requirements for nursing license renewal in conjunction with the laws and rules related to the practice of nursing.

Beginning with the biennium ending in 2015, each nursing licensee must complete a two (2) hour course on the laws and rules that govern the practice of nursing in the State of Florida before they are eligible to renew their license. Covered in this course is the Nurse Practice Act, the general scope of practice, nursing practice in the State of Florida, the discipline process related to nursing practice and the general requirements for continuing licensure. Completing this course will also assist the participant in creating a professional plan for career maintenance and development within the limits of the law. Note: This activity may be available in multiple formats or from different sponsors. ARRT regulations state that an individual may not repeat a self-learning activity for credit if it was reported in the same or any subsequent biennium. Certificate of Completion: To receive continuing medical education credit, you must view each topic, participate in each activity, achieve at least an 80 percent passing rate on the posttest, and complete the course evaluation.
