Although federal funding is available for physician and pharmacist residencies, no such funding exists for nursing transition to practice programs. The IOM Future of Nursing Report (2010) calls for HRSA and CMS to fund the development of nurse residencies. This webinar provides a historical overview of efforts to obtain funding and the policy implications for future efforts to obtain federal funding for nurse residencies.
